If you do not wear your special watch every day, or if you change between different models, we recommend that you use a watch winder. This is the only way to ensure that the accuracy of the movement is maintained over time and that the grease in the movement does not harden and require constant complicated readjustment.

If your automatic watch is not sufficiently moved by a watch winder or by wearing it all the time, it will stop at some point. It will be necessary to reset the often complicated functions. It can also cause the grease used in the movement to harden.

No, because the mechanism of an automatic watch usually has a built-in protection against overwinding. When the spring in the movement is fully wound, the gears disengage from the spring to prevent overwinding. In addition, many watchmakers also incorporate a manual feedback. As the tension on the spring increases, so does the resistance to rotation. Just as we know it from classic manual winding watches.

Paul Design watch winders are very easy to use and are compatible with all watch brands. In addition, each watch holder in the winder can be controlled individually. The settings are made via the control unit (touch screen or remote control depending on the model).

Automatic movements are often wound on both sides at approximately 650 to 900 revolutions. Among experts, this value is referred to as RPD (Revolutions Per Day) or TPT (Turns Per Day).

We are always at your disposal if you do not know the exact number of revolutions.

The batteries should last approximately 300 days in normal use.

Orders are usually packed and dispatched within 24 hours, or 48 hours in peak periods. Delivery is made by DPD, please check their delivery times. Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number which will allow you to see the current location of your parcel.
